Above all, what’s most important to
us is we’d like to welcome students with an open mind who are ready to learn new
things and committed to improving their personal practice on and off the yoga mat.
There is no need to be able to do handstands or advanced postures in order to join a
training.

Will I be able to teach yoga in my home country after graduating?

Successful completion of an All Yoga 200 Hour Teacher Training means you will be
certified to teach yoga professionally. Our course is accredited by Yoga Alliance, the
worldwide standard.

What style of yoga will I learn in this 200 Hour Teacher Training? Will I be able to
teach Vinyasa Flow?

This 200 hour course is based upon the Ashtanga Primary Series and the Vinyasa Flow
styles of asana practice (eg. Rocket Yoga). While the traditional Ashtanga
Primary Series provides a strong foundation, you will learn and be inspired by other
yoga styles to help develop and sequence Vinyasa Flow classes. In these, the asana
practice focuses on breath, dristi (gaze) and bandhas (inner energy locks).

By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently teach the Ashtanga
Primary Series as well as create custom Vinyasa Flow sequences. To finely balance
the Yang practice of Ashtanga, we will incorporate other styles, such as Yin Yoga, to
provide students with a broader education and enhance their overall experience with
yoga. The local Thai people are friendly and peaceful.
Tourism is a booming industry in Thailand, so you’ll find that most people speak English and
are very helpful to travelers. Many typical problems that tourists tend to encounter are
generally avoidable, such as drug or alcohol-related troubles, or road accidents from
inexperienced drivers. Use common sense, look both ways (several times!) before
crossing streets, and be discreet with cash and valuables (as you would anywhere).

What are health precautions I should take before coming?

Please check your local travel clinics regarding vaccinations, and use your own
discretion. Using your feet to point to things or touching people on the
head is considered rude and very disrespectful. Nudity or topless sunbathing may be
tolerated, yet sometimes frowned upon in public (especially in the more conservative
    southern parts of the country).

Currency

The local currency is the Thai Baht, and is the only currency that's accepted in most
establishments. You can exchange cash, traveler's cheques, or use your debit/credit
cards in Haad Rin, where there are ATMs, exchange centers, and banks. There are no
banks/ATMs in Haad Tien or Haad Yuan areas.

Language

Thai is the local language. There are also many people from Burma living on the island
who only speak Burmese. This explains why some people may not understand you
even if you greet them in perfect Thai!

Communications

The Sanctuary is the only restaurant offering wifi service in Haad Tien Bay. You can
purchase a SIM card / wireless data package at the reception desk. On Haad Yuan
beach, there's Big Blue Internet. You can also print and make photocopies there. The
nearest post office is in Haad Rin.

Travel & Medical Insurance

No Health Documents are required to enter Thailand, however medical & travel
insurance is recommended. For vaccines and drug prescriptions, please check with
your local travel clinic before departure. Pharmacies and clinics are available in nearby
Haad Rin Bay should you need any medical supplies. The medical facilities are
    excellent and of high standards.

Any other useful things I should know?

Always carry toilet/tissue paper and hand sanitizer with you. This will be handy as
some washroom facilities do not provide these.

In rural Thai bathrooms with squat toilets, you'll see a water hose or bucket with water.
The hose is for personal hygiene. The bucket scoop is to "flush" the toilet using gravity.
Toilet paper will clog the toilet, so is put in the waste basket.

You can get laundry done on the island for approximately 50 THB/kg.

Save a scan AND paper photocopy of your passport and important travel visas.
